I’m not sure about you, but I am a competitor.

I play to win.

I will never settle for defeat.

I commit to an outcome and will always achieve it.

You might feel this is too intense for you - and if this is the case - I invite you to increase your intensity because what I have come to realize is that WINNERS win, because they are fierce competitors.

And maybe the word fierce and competitor does not land well - get over it - because I guarantee you that right now there is someone who will gain pleasure if you fall short.

So let’s define falling short…

Your dreams crumble…

Your kids experience mediocrity…

You have just enough to get by…

Your spouse is forced to accept the status quo…

You operate from a place of scarcity…

Your ambitions are dimmed…

And I am sure there are 100s of other side effects associated with falling short, which happen to be the byproduct of NOT being a fierce competitor.

So the key is you weigh it out…

Do you have more disdain for being a fierce competitor OR the side effects of falling short?

For me, I am allergic to falling short and I also know that there are probably a handful of people who would gain pleasure if I did fall short.

AND…the same holds true for you…

The reason why your naysayer wants to watch you crumble is because YOU represent everything they are NOT!

You represent the ability to make your dreams real…

You represent the capacity to lead a movement of like-minded souls…

You represent the skills that they lack…

But the greatest way to WIN in the face of this adversity is to not only just WIN – but to ensure the people that your naysayer can’t help, are helped by you!

You have the ability to transform lives.

You have the capacity to follow through.

You have the resources to ensure the solution. 

And I know people will tell you to use internal drive as your driving force - and I do agree - but I also know that having some type of fierce external charge will make your internal drive profoundly more powerful.

This is why I embrace those who want to see me crash, because all they are actually doing is motivating me to WIN in a bigger, more ambitious, more impactful, more economic way.

And when I WIN, I make sure the people THEY could not help win…WIN!

6 Ways To Guarantee A Winning Life

Way 1: Eliminate the noise but continue to hear the sound.

Noise is the voice of your naysayer.

Whereas, the sound is your fuel.

It’s your charge…

It’s  your drive…

It’s your motivation to settle for nothing less than a win…

Whenever a naysayer shows up in my world – their voice is hollow, their words are insignificant, but their presence is appreciated.

I know this might sound crazy, but the reason their presence is appreciated is because all that they represent is SOUND…

Like I said…

Their voices are hollow.

Their words are insignificant.

Their presence is appreciated.

But they do create sound and sound is MY fuel AND whether you realize this or not – it’s YOUR fuel too!

Their sound will charge you and motivate you.

Their sound will commit you to putting in more effort than you realize you can.

Their sound will drive you and challenge you to win.

Most people shy away from their naysayers. They begin to play it safe AND they introvert in the face of adversity.

And this is why most people don’t win and it’s also why even more people don’t win, because the person who is being confronted is the catalyst for the people the confronter can’t help.

Which is why…

THEIR SOUND is YOUR FUEL!

Way 2: Become a multi-faceted winner.

One thing you should know about me is how I am in ONE area is how I am in ALL areas…

And I believe this is the case for almost everyone as well.

I WIN with my businesses.

AND

I WIN with my marriage.

AND

I WIN with my kids.

AND

I WIN with my health. 

AND

I WIN with helping others win.

I do not believe you can WIN in only one area of your life and be a WINNER.

So maybe you WIN and make boatloads of money, but your spouse can’t stand you, your kids don’t know you, and you have an autoimmune disease because of how hard you needed to grind to make the money.

Is this a WIN? YES!

Are you a WINNER? NO!

EVERY time I dissect my naysayers – what I see is a complete LOSER.

MAYBE they figured out one area of their life – but they absolutely have not found a way to become a multifaceted WINNER which by default makes them a complete loser.

And the same holds true for whoever is yearning for you to crash.

They simply don’t know how to become a WINNER so instead they want to ensure you are a LOSER with them.

But you have a choice you can and must make…

WIN

Or

LOSE

And if you choose to WIN – ensure the WIN is multifaceted across all dimensions of your life because that will make you a WINNER!

Way 3: Lift those around you up to new heights.

The part of WINNING for me that is really the ultimate of satisfaction and fulfillment is when the people around me benefit as much or even more than I do from my WIN.

I am going to share a story of when I learned Way 3…

When I was a child, I was by far the best athlete in the town, specifically in baseball.

There were countless seasons where my team went undefeated and as wonderful as it was to win, what I realized was that many of my teammates had NEVER won before.

Forget about baseball for a moment…

They never experienced a WIN.

They were not that popular.

They were not in great shape.

They were not overly athletic.

They were not stand-out intelligent.

For the most part – they were just good/mediocre kids.

Nothing wrong with this reality, but I was not just a good/medicocre kid.

I was popular.

I was in insane shape.

I was an extreme athlete.

I was in every advanced class.

And I am NOT sharing this to boast, but it’s the ultimate proof of Way 3…

I already knew that I was a WINNER because I was winning in all areas of my life, but most of my team had their first WIN with me and in many ways due to me.

AND AND AND the reason this matters is…

WINNING becomes an obsession for WINNERS and most people will never know if they are obsessed with winning until they have won for the first time.

Therefore…

BE the catalyst…

BE the ignition…

BE the reason…

People around you WIN!

Way 4: Make your WIN known.

I know this is a controversial topic because silent success is considered humble and mature whereas people who boast about their accomplishments often are difficult to palette. 

And I am definitely NOT one to boast about my success, but what I do make KNOWN are my wins…

You absolutely don’t need to stand in front of $75 Million Bombardier Global 7500 Private Jet, with a $500,000 Rolex on your wrist, and a $400,000  Rolls-Royce in the background (although there is nothing wrong with the finer things in life). 

But there is a significant distinction between showing off your success and making your WIN known…

Talk about the WIN in your business.

Showcase the WIN in your relationship.

Publicize the WIN with your kids.

Document the WIN with your health.

WINNING is NOT meant to be a secret – EVER!

It’s meant to be showcased for the world to see so that YOUR WIN becomes THEIR motivation to WIN!

I have really won in life, but I will never show off what my winnings have awarded me, but what I will plaster for society to see are my WINS…

Business

Wife

Kids

Health

I freaking have it all and I want people to know it SO THAT they realize – having it all is within reach!

Way 5: Momentum builds on Momentum.

Okay, I do believe you are at a point where you realize that being a fierce competitor who is monomaniacally focused on WINNING is actually a good thing.

But here’s why it’s actually a GREAT thing…

Momentum BUILDS on Momentum!

It’s so critical that you get your WINNING going because once it's going…it’s GOING!

You will begin to see why winning in each dimension of your life begins to compound and your ability now to exponentially WIN - which means you are helping more people - becomes undeniable.

You become an unstoppable WINNING force…

You become an insatiable WINNING energy…

You become a magnetic WINNING essence…

I am telling you this…

When you become a WINNER – NOTHING will EVER derail you EVER again, because you will default to what got you to where you are, which will eventually build your momentum once again.

Way 6: WIN.

The final way to guarantee a winning life is simple…

JUST WIN!

Please read these two words again…

JUST WIN!

I believe most people don’t believe they can win, so they enter into a business or relationship or parenthood or with their health with a completely convicted stance and mind which is – they will lose.

And guess what – THEY WILL!

But winners show up differently…

They show up with a humble swagger…

They show up with magnificent energy…

They show up as a force of nature…

Winning is UNDENIABLE and this is why Way 6 is a reminder for you…  

JUST WIN!

Now What?

If I had it all my way, you would open your mind, heart, and soul to become a fierce competitor and WIN!

Far too many people - the vast majority - have no drive to win, instead they yearn to fall beneath the radar.

Good for them – bad for me and probably bad for you too.

So my challenge and motivation are the same…

COMMIT TO WINNING!

And if there is someone(s) in your world who feels the need to try and slow you down because of their own lack - ask yourself this question…

“Do they HAVE what I DESIRE?”

If yes – listen.

If no (which is almost always the case) – use their words as your driving force to become a fierce competitor and WIN!

Stick it to them in the most mature and professional way.

You don’t need to taunt them (although you can)...

You don’t need to broadcast (although you can)...

You don’t need to even keep score if you don’t want to…(although you should)...

But what you do need to do is…WIN!

Because your win is not only for you – it’s also for your kids, your spouse, and the people your naysayer could not help. 

I can’t emphasize enough how vital it is for you to eliminate any option, but a victory and ensure that each time you are faced with an opportunity to win…you go for it and you don’t stop until…YOU WIN!
