The Greatest Integrous Marketing Hack Ever

“I would bet on someone any day who is considered omnipresent but has a minimal social presence versus an influencer who no one talks about over dinner with a big following.” - Jared Yellin

Before I dig into this very important topic that will become the greatest marketing hack you have ever experienced, let’s first define the core word of this article…OMNIPRESENT.

Om·ni·pres·ent

/ˈämnəˌprez(ə)nt/

adjective

1 - widely or constantly encountered; common or widespread.

2 - refers to the quality of being everywhere.

3 - emphasizes in a lofty or dignified way the power, usually divine, of being present everywhere at the same time

Most people have never been acquainted with the term OMNIPRESENT, and those who have are battling with epigenetic beliefs from their parents, teachers, and preachers about flying under the radar because it’s “safer.”

But after nearly two decades of being an entrepreneur, I have come to realize that becoming omnipresent in the world of your ideal customer, partner, investor, etc. is a make or break for your success because there will ALWAYS be someone who can outspend you on paid traffic, but this person's effort is futile compared to the power associated with “becoming widespread.”

And there are two schools of thought on HOW to achieve this very important outcome…

1. Talk About Yourself

One thought is to talk about yourself incessantly, which does work but requires excessive effort since YOU need to show up everywhere in order to proliferate your story.

2. Give People Something To Talk About

The other path (which is the strategy I deploy) is to give people something worth talking about so even when you are not present, and they are, there is a discussion about you.

The second path is obviously the dream, but it does not literally need to be the dream because I am living proof that you CAN do this.

I can and do hustle with the best of them, and it’s impossible to outwork me, but I am a dad and husband WAYYYY before I became an entrepreneur, and in this current chapter of my life, it’s a non-negotiable for me to spend as much time as possible with my kids since they are still all young.

But at the same time – I have extremely ambitious goals for my life, and I refuse to compromise on any or fall short.

So, how do I do it?

I mobilize people to talk about me even when they are not with me and I don’t do this because it tickles my fancy. I do this because it's the single greatest integrous marketing hack ever THAT serves the people as much or usually MORE than it serves me!

My team has been asking me to write this article for at least a decade so here you go! This article represents HOW I have and will always remain omnipresent, AND so can YOU!

8 Must-Do’s To Become Omnipresent

1. Do what you say you will do.

For as long as I can remember (elementary school is as far back as I can go), I have called BIG SHOTS.

But even more important than what I SAY is what I DO!

So yes, I talk a big game, declare moonshots, pursue extremely ambitious outcomes, and paint a picture of what’s possible, AND AND AND…

I hold true to my word.

This does not always mean I achieve the outcome, and there are plenty of times I have learned more than I WON, but I have always ensured that in situations like this, I over-communicate to ensure all parties are aware of the current status and then I enroll them in a process to help ALL OF US achieve the outcome together.

But it all boils down to a very critical foundational commitment…

DO WHAT YOU SAY YOU WILL DO!

It sounds obvious, but almost no one does it so when you do - you become OMNIPRESENT!

2. Be interested and interesting.

Part of becoming omnipresent is showing up at dinner and in dreams.

What this means is that whenever I am speaking with someone, for the first time or 40th time, I ensure that I am INTERESTED in them (aka ASKING QUESTIONS) and INTERESTING to them (aka sharing my focus and vision) so that I show up during their dinner conversation at night and then in their dreams as they fall asleep.

I become MEMORABLE which also means I become OMNIPRESENT for them. They are thinking of me, talking about me, and doing things for me (which directly serves them more than me) even when I am not around.

And please realize this – they are NOT doing any of this FOR ME, rather they are doing it FOR THEMSELVES!

They are SERVED and BENEFITED by ME being interested AND ME being interesting, and the same will hold true for you as you embark on a journey to become omnipresent.

3. Remember executed ambition is memorable.

One of the main reasons why I have become so omnipresent over the years is because I take really big swings each time I come to the plate and what I am committed to achieving is over-the-top, but what makes it memorable is my discipline around execution.

A few years ago, I wanted to become the GO-TO place for relevant entrepreneurs with relevant ideas in the SaaS industry.

I decided to launch a show (kind of like Shark Tank) where 1,000s of people showed up to pitch us their dreams. We live-streamed for at least two hours a week, Monday through Friday, and the initiative became almost an overnight success.

WHY…

Because I executed on an insane ambition (2 hours of daily shows with people pitching their dreams from around the world)

AND

I became the topic of conversation in people's homes because the show was inspiring, exciting, upsetting, and so much more!

4. Ask to help before asking for help.

On average, I speak with 10 people each day, and some days, closer to 20…

This means 10-20 individual Zoom calls, and less than 1% of the people I have ever spoken with ask the most memorable question…

“How can I best help you?”

I mean, almost NEVER has someone authentically ASKED and then almost NEVER NEVER NEVER did they follow through based on what I told them would help me.

What this leads me to believe is that they were inauthentic if they offered and hoped that I would forget.

On the contrary – I LEAD with the question…

“How can I best help you?”

And then do you know what I do…

HELP…

And do you know what happens when I help? They get what they want, AND I become omnipresent.

5. "New + Exciting"

I have something NEW + EXCITING each time I speak with people to share, but my life is no more interesting than yours. I just commit to always having NEW + EXCITING because what this represents is a reason for people to talk about you even when you are not there.

With in turn…

Makes you omnipresent!

So you might be wondering – what do I do if I don’t have anything new and exciting to share…

And my answer is simple…

DO SOMETHING NEW AND EXCITING!

Stop over-romanticizing your next step and instead, commit to something new and exciting that is EXCITING for you to talk about!

6. Show up with humble swagger.

A huge component of becoming omnipresent is the way you show up in a room.

If you are a wallflower hugging the perimeter – no one will speak to you or about you.

If you are a highly energetic and passionate human committed to growth – everyone wants to talk about you.

I call the latter a HUMBLE SWAGGER where you show up knowing you are the shizzle, BUT at the same time you KNOW you have so much to gain by learning from people who already accomplished what you set out to achieve.

But it’s SOOOO important that you merge together HUMBLE and SWAGGER because it's the only way to open doors and keep them open, which, in turn, leads to a state of omnipresence with you.

7. Catalyze THEIR greatest win.

The absolute best way to become omnipresent is to help people win and to ensure their next win is the most significant of their lives to date.

For the record – this is NOT easy.

But if you truly want people to talk about you when you are not with these people, then help a few people WIN significantly because it will catalyze and accelerate your journey to omnipresence.

8. Be consistently YOU.

I mean this - wholeheartedly - be an unapologetic version of YOU!

If a person or group does not accept you – forget’em!

I ALWAYS show up as ME and I know that I ruffle a few feathers but I also know that I turn on even more. Regardless of ruffling or being turned on it’s sooooooooo unreal important that you are only operating from ONE space…

Be consistently YOU!

Now What?

You must first redefine whatever would hold you back from striving for omnipresence.

If I had to bet someone, somewhere, told you to…

Fly under the radar.

Play it safe.

Keep things simple.

Quiet down.

Don’t ruffle feathers…

And the way this statement manifested in your present reality is THE reason why you are NOT omnipresent.

You probably don’t talk about what you have done and what you will do in fear of ridicule…

You probably don’t challenge the status quo because your confidence is subpar…

You probably don’t pursue big and ambitious goals because falling short is scary…

There are countless ways those utterly ridiculous statements could and probably are holding you back, so my question, which only you can answer, is…

“Do you have what you want?”

If the answer is a sincere YES, then I praise you and applaud you.

BUT

If the answer is anything but a sincere YES, then I encourage you to work towards becoming omnipresent and accepting the fact that there are two SIDES to this outcome…

Side 1 - Raving fans, wild supporters, and synergistic partners will show up to rally you towards your outcome because your outcome becomes meaningful to their outcome.

Side 2 - Naysayers, critics, and skeptics will emerge with the goal of distracting you, derailing you, hurting you, stopping you, and ensuring you don’t reason your outcome.

But here’s what you need to remember…

For every ONE person who shows up on SIDE 2, at least 100 and probably even 1,000 people will show up on SIDE 1. This means if you have 7 people throwing snares your way, you have at least 700 - 7,000 people cheering you on, offering help, and partnering with you.

So ignore the 7 from Side 2 and immerse yourself with the 700-7,000 on Side 1, because the benefits of becoming omnipresent FARRRRRRR outweigh the very very very minimal costs.

So I have a question for you…

“Are you ready to become omnipresent?”

Let’s do this – TOGETHER!

Live with Intention,
