Vision Without Limitations

“Allow your mind to go wild. Think bigger than ever before. Dream as if you will wake up to this reality. And then DO SOMETHING with the audacious vision that shows up.” - Jared Yellin

Do you believe your imagination should become your motivation?

Do you believe what you dream about at night should be your reality in the morning?

Do you believe you were placed on this Earth to do what has never been done before?

I am 100000000% certain that this article is not for everyone - in fact - it’s probably for .01% of the population because only a fraction of people would say YES YES YES to the three questions from above and only a fraction of a fraction would have the courage to execute.

But I equally believe that most ambitious people are playing it too safe because their parents, teachers, preachers, etc. once told them to fly under the radar, keep it simple, play it safe and these absolutely ridiculous statements became their truth.

And the moment you “play it safe” and “fly under the radar,” is THE moment when your vision establishes LIMITS of what’s possible.

I did not write this article to pump you up or motivate you - rather - I wanted to share a formula, strategy, process that I consistently use and have observed others as well when it comes to defying possibility.

6 Steps to Demolish the Perimeter of What You Believe to be Possible

Step 1: Identify one person who accomplished something that was deemed impossible.

I have always believed that if my imagination can concoct a vivid image of something, then the only thing standing between this remaining a vivid image and my reality is execution. But for those who still believe their imagination is just “made up,” think of all the utilities (products/services you can’t live without), successes, transformations, movements, etc. that exist today (or existed in the past) and then realize…

  • Someone - no different than you - is responsible for these outcomes.

  • Someone had the courage to defy what everyone around them said was impossible…

  • Someone had the willpower to keep on keeping on even when the voice inside told them to quit…

  • Someone had the human ingenuity to circumnavigate the potholes that should have stopped them in their tracks…

  • Someone found a way regardless of the adversity they faced…

And there is absolutely no reason why this someone can’t be you but here’s a great hack…

Identify ONE PERSON who has accomplished the seemingly impossible - it does not need to be even the least bit relevant for you - but just someone who did something that we still talk about today.

And then ask yourself this question…

Why can’t this be me?

Here’s a good list to begin the process:

Marie Curie

A scientific genius who pioneered the fields of radioactivity and X-rays, and the first woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize twice.

Martin Luther King Jr.

An influential American who advocated for change without violence.

Mahatma Gandhi

A leader of the Indian independence movement who promoted non-violence and peaceful resistance.

Rosa Parks

A civil rights activist who broke segregation laws by refusing to give up her bus seat to a white man.

Eleanor Roosevelt

A First Lady who transformed the role and perception of women in public life.

Malala Yousafzai

An advocate for educational equality and the youngest Nobel Peace Prize recipient in history.

Napoleon Bonaparte

A brilliant strategist and visionary conqueror who helped shape the modern era.

Albert Einstein

A physicist who created theories of relativity and reimagined gravity as the bending of space and time.

Charles Darwin

A scientist whose theory of evolution, proposed in On the Origin of Species in 1859, challenged religious beliefs and changed how people understand the natural world.

YOU

A person who saw a better future and committed to making this future a reality for millions of people from around the world.

Step 2: Uncover a problem you care enough about that you are willing to face adversity and ridicule to attempt to create a solution.

Once you begin to dig into any of the names from Step 1 or anyone else who really inspires you, what you will find is that the problem they committed to solving was WORTH IT for them…

It was worth the sleepless nights…

It was worth the death threats…

It was worth the stress and pain…

It was worth the financial struggle…

It was worth the ridicule…

And the reason why it was worth it for them is because they saw this outcome as a calling, a responsibility, and something only they were capable of doing.

So what is that problem for you?

I have a few for myself…

1 - I am committed to preserving the tech ecosystem in Israel, which is currently distressed because of the war.

2 - I am committed to ensuring that engineers who work on passion projects on nights and weekends are able to benefit from the fruits of their labor.

3 - I am committed to uniting every business that is striving towards 50+% of its revenue coming from an affiliate network of business builders.

There is no hate, challenge, pain, etc. that will even slow me down – let alone stop me.

So what is this for you?

It needs to be be WAYYYYY bigger than the money. It needs to be a problem that you care so much about solving that you would do it for free but the impact is so strong that if done correctly provides economic benefits for decades to come.

Step 3: Use the naysayers as fuel and use the fans for support.

I don’t have many naysayers but the few I do have don’t realize how beneficial they are to me…

They are my fuel…

They are my emotional charge…

They make the stakes even higher…

And the same will hold true for you.

The people who are trying to bring you down are actually the ones who will serve you most if you USE their energy as a multiplier of your voice, success, and impact.

TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THIS…

If what you were doing was “normal,” I promise your naysayers don’t exist.

I always tell my wife that if I wanted to avoid naysayers I would have opened a tiny, one location, pizzeria in South Florida – and I am by no means knocking the owner of a pizzeria, but the few naysayers that exist feel threatened about something I am being, doing or having,

So they try to distract me the same way you will attempt to interfere with you, but instead of being diverted, USE them for FUEL because if you were not doing something meaningful that made them uncomfortable they would not be naysaying you.

AND the same holds true for the people who are cheering you on…

Here’s what you don’t need when you are on a path to make the seemingly impossible happen – cheerleaders!

You need people ON THE FIELD who are committed to the same outcome you are striving towards.

So…

CONVERT the fans into SUPPORTERS not with their words but with their actions.

Enroll them…

Direct them…

Give them things to do…

Set goals for them…

Train them….

Get your fans in motion because the more people who are on the field with you, the more likely you will accomplish what you have set to achieve.

Step 4: Recognize a body in motion tends to stay in motion.

"A body in motion tends to stay in motion" is a statement that describes Newton's first law of motion, also known as the law of inertia. This law states that an object in motion will remain in motion at a constant velocity and in a straight line unless acted upon by an outside force.

Don’t mess with science. It’s ALWAYS right which in this context means even when everything inside is telling you to ease up, slow down, press the breaks, quit – DO THE EXACT opposite!

It’s imperative that you stay in motion by taking daily actions, even if the actions don’t produce or you feel set you back, I promise you they are more beneficial than stopping because to get a body in motion which is stagnant is a significant feat but once you have some momentum, velocity, movement, all you need to do is keep on pushing because the speed will pick up, doors will open, data will be accumulated, results will be achieved, people will get on the field, and you will be closer to your desired outcome than ever before.

BUT I PROMISE – the opposite is also true!

If you stop, stagnate, or worse off quit – your speed won’t exist, doors will close, data will be halted, there will be no results, people will pursue alternatives, and you will be further and further from where you want to get to.

I can’t emphasize enough. Do the EXACT OPPOSITE of your limiting beliefs and recognize….

"A body in motion tends to stay in motion."

Step 5: Measure your progress daily but your outcomes annually.

It's important to NOT check your progress too often or too sparsely.

Here’s how we do it…

1 - Set annual targets.

2 - Divide these targets by 365.

3 - *** No excuses***

DON’T NEGOTIATE against these targets!

Your progress must be measured daily but your outcomes annually, because what I don’t want to see you do is bail on something one step before success because you are measuring your outcomes daily which is too often and will only ruin a potentially very good business.

Step 6: Change your mind whenever you want, but only change your mind if your heart changes NOT because of the difficulty.

The only asset that matters is TIME!

It’s the one asset that once we use or lose we never get back.

And for some reason I am absolutely fanatical about this asset.

But that’s not why this is step 6.

The reason for this step is to give you permission to pivot/change your mind.

Whenever you want!

No one should dissuade you from what your heart and gut are telling you to do, but the one thing you need to be extremely tuned into is whether or not this is a change of heart OR the difficulty has become too extreme.

BECAUSE…

No one will ever look back and regret a change of heart BUT everyone will look back and regret quitting because of difficulty.

One of my moonshots in life was co-founding 10,000 SaaS companies with relevant entrepreneurs at the idea stage. After a few years of working on this project for 80+ hours a week, I had a change of heart because I now have more data and the data was helping me recognize that I personally don’t want 10,000 co-founders nor do I want to commericilize 10,000 ideas.

What does light my fire are opportunities where we can purchase an engineer-founded SaaS company or acquire a distressed early-stage SaaS company from Israel.

But my change of heart has NOTHING to do with the difficulty of what we set out to do nearly 4 years ago and everything to do with the data I collected which provided me with optics I did not have prior.

AND AND AND…

The same will hold true for you as well as you pursue your ambitious outcome(s)!

Now What?

Decide what you want to do….

That is the only advice I can offer because THE perimeter of what you believe to be possible is unique to you and only you - not everyone has the same perimeter - some believe they can colonize a planet that has never been reached before while others would consider a vacation with their young children as an equivalent accomplishment.

The measuring stick you use to demolish your perimeter is a measuring stick that only you have access to and as a result, only you need to decide whether it’s worth pursuing.

99% of humanity will never demolish the perimeter of what they deemed possible, which is perfectly fine as long as they feel content in life, but for the 1%ers who are yearning to do what has never been done in order to shape the way we operate in all aspects of life you need to constantly break, eliminate, and annihilate any beliefs that exist around possibility.

I always tell my kids that if you can imagine it, IT IS within reach because if your mind is able to create a visual for you to experience within your imagination then the only thing left to do is to execute until your imagination becomes your realization.

Please read this again…

The only thing left to do is to execute until your imagination becomes your realization.

Every “I can’t live without” in your life from electricity to computers to vitamins to ChatGPT to Uber to ________________ is the result of someone - no different than you - demolishing the perimeter of what they thought to be possible.

Which means…

If you want something badly enough - just go out there and get it - and follow the 6-steps from above to ensure the perimeter is not the reason why you don’t accomplish what you set out to achieve.

I am excited to see, hear, and benefit from your ambition - here for you always - TOGETHER!

Live with Intention,
